Birthday Fun

John got yummy mini bundt cakes for my birthday. I opened presents with the family and then we took off for Midway. We were almost there and realized there was no battery in our camera, so Ty kindly met us at a gas station. Funny story...so while we are at the gas station we decided to buy wiper fluid because it was all out and we couldn't see out the window. John comes out and pops the hood and is searching to find the spot to pour it into, not a mechanic man for sure, and he doesn't even realize a man is standing there a good 30 seconds pointing at the spot to pour it in. When he looked up it scared him; i got a big kick out of it. So we finally made our our way to the hotel. We then bundled up in our snow gear and went snow-shoeing around jordanelle reservoir. Thanks Rea for letting us borrow your snow-shoes they were awesome! There were areas that we fell up to our waist in snow. It was so cold we decided to pack up and go to dinner. We trudged into a mexican restaurant in our sweats and ate our giant dinners..yum! I couldn't convince John to go with me out to the hot tubs because they were too far of a run in the freezing temperatures so we watched the ball drop at times square instead. The next day we ate at the breakfast and then headed back to town. We made it as far as Big Cottonwood Canyon and decided to stop for some soup and more snow-shoeing. It was a great get-away! When we got home we got ready and went to dinner with the family for my birthday. We went to the training table and to see a movie. What a great birthday!!
